 The Alamance Partnership for Children (APC) is a non-profit organization serving children, youth and families in Alamance County. APC administers the state Smart Start funds, an early childhood initiative designed to ensure that young children enter school healthy and ready to succeed.

 About Smart Start 
 Smart Start was created in 1993 as an innovative solution to a problem: Children were coming to school unprepared to learn.Policymakers recognized that progress would require tapping into the same innovative spirit that inspired private sector advances, and therefore, established Smart Start as a public/private partnership. Independent, private organizations work in all 100 North Carolina counties through The North Carolina Partnership for Children, Inc., and 77 Local Partnerships.

 Lee Brothers' Academy is associated with Grand Master Sang Ho Lee's brothers’ schools which are located across North Carolina and Virginia. Being one of six brothers, whom all teach martial arts professionally, Grand Master Lee's approach to teaching martial arts and self-defense has proven itself effective among numerous martial arts and fitness professionals worldwide.Grand Master Sang Ho Lee's 25 years of professionally teaching the martial arts in North Carolina have resulted in a curriculum that can be easily adapted to whatever positive goals students wish to pursue. Some of these include developing greater discipline and respect in a friendly environment, greater flexibility, develop greater overall confidence, improve balance, relieve stress, and improve overall health and fitness. Lee Brothers is also an academy that is proudly recognized and accredited by the World Tae Kwon Do Federation, Kukkiwon (International headquarters of Tae Kwon Do), World Hapkido Competition Association, and The Korea Hapkido Competition Association.

 The Exchange Club Child Abuse Prevention Center of North Carolina, Inc is a 501(c)(3) founded in October of 1981, following a Forsyth County N.C. task force discussion on needed prevention services to deal with rapidly increasing reports of child abuse and neglect.
